Paintwork 1off part III

KustomBart did the grey paintjob last week, so today it was time for some gold leaf! Next week he will finish the paintwork with some transparant laquer and outlines around the gold leaf.

KustomBart busy with taping the places for the glue

Yep, there will be a gold leaf logo on my tank! 1Off, what means sometheing like one of a kind or unique

Here's the magic going on!
Gold leaf from sheets. It only stays at the glue'd places

Et voila!

Hmmm.... It's getting there, isn't it? So, some outlines will be done next week and some transparant laquer will make it look D.E.E.P. I can tell you! :-)

Own Skool in 100% Biker magazine

My stubborn OWN SKOOL project is featured in the new 100% biker magazine. Cool!!!
Photo is made with two pocket-flashers + brelly's, off-shoe'd with PW's and a shutter-time of about 4 seconds to get some background-light.

The Duke

This bike is name The Duke and the paint scheme is inspired by.... Dukes of Hazard of course! It's made by Edwin and the L&L crew and you'll find the feature in the next month's Bigtwin magazine.

Triumph Thunderbird world press introduction

This week is the press introduction of the new Triumph Thunderbird. We went to Barcelona to take this 1600 cc Parallel Twin into the mountains and cruise along palm trees, cactusses, olives and wine-fields... Oh, it was good fun and this cruiser rides great! You'll find my ride test in Bigtwin magazine soon...

KustomBart paints project 1Off

"MY NAME IS BART, KUSTOM BART!"
KustomBart is one of the most gifted custompainters around, he does crazy things with paint. My MZ DDR-tracker and the Own Skool choppa' are done by KustomBart, and now he does project 1Off

KustomBart was a bit SHAKEN, NOT STIRRED, when he heard about my plans for the bodywork: "You're a f*cking lunatic!", he said. "I don't do wild-west paintjobs, Indians, cowboys, horses or portraits on bikes!"
"Ow well", I said, "don't kill yourself and paint something you do like then, damnit!!!"

And so he unpacked his closet with magic stuff

The rear end and spotlight housing, smoothened with putty by KustomBart

KustomBart, doing magic things with laquer and metal flakes

After he painted the parts 'back to the roots' matt-black, he covered it with the flakes until the black wasn't visible... wtf?

That's it for today! Next week there will be some colour magic!

Old Skool Triumph

This young bloke named Rene created this A.W.E.S.O.M.E Triumph chop. We did some funny things with the studio lights and also I got car-sick in the trunk of my car... Cool shots or what?

Sportster photoshoot

Last tuesday we did a photo-shoot of this hacked-up Sporty... It features tons of homemade parts!
